I am Professor Sattar J. Aboud hold a PhD and currently residing in Baghdad-Iraq. I hold a permanent full time position as Senior Adviser (Deputy Minister) for Science and Technology of the Iraqi Council of representatives since November 2008. I am also visiting professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at the University of Bedfordshire, UK since November 2013.
I finished my PhD in 1988 in the UK and worked in various academic institutions and research centers across various countries. During this period I have gathered wide and rich experience in teaching, researching and in quality assurance in areas of academic education. I have acquired high educational leadership experience for more than 27 years. I have also worked as executive and senior management posts in various universities. I am also familiar with contemporary teaching practices and I have experience in working with people from different ethnic backgrounds.
I have also led in the establishment and development of information technology faculties, computer science departments and computer center’s in various universities worldwide. I have been also involved in the design of different courses and programs on different teaching and training levels. Parallel with my applied cryptography teaching role, I have involved heavily in research activities in different areas of applied cryptography and information security including cyber crimes.
I am able to put research ideas and proposals into action as well as designing projects for postgraduate studies (PhD and Masters), and undergraduate (Bachelors) levels. These have a great emphasis of applications in academic and industrial fields. I work with clear vision to bring the academic institutes and others partners to collaborate and to put the ideas in action.
